What the Light Has Seen
Lighting

Every chandelier in this collection has watched a room change hands. Crystal that once caught candlelight now catches something steadier. Ormolu hall lanterns that guided guests up a Khedivial staircase still hold their original fittings, patient through a century of Cairo's shifting light — gas, then electric, then whatever comes next. We do not rewire away the history. We keep what the fixture has always known: that light in this city has always been a little theatrical.

Did You Know? Cairo's Abdin Palace alone housed over 500 chandeliers at its peak — many commissioned directly from Baccarat and Bohemian crystal houses, making it one of the largest single collections of period lighting outside Europe.
